A bit about me.
Throughout my life I have worked in the creative industries, shaping ideas into reality, from concept to delivery.
Through photography and visual arts, film and television production, course planning and delivery, events management, community-based programs and podcast producing, I have worked solo and in large and small teams. And so it continues with website and graphic design, photography and my own photographic-based art practice.
Artist Bio.
Australian photographic artist, Genevieve Ginty, creates immersive imagery that frequently examines themes of fragility, environmental care, and the Anthropocene. Her evocative portraits of the landscape seek to place the viewer directly within the frame, fostering a visceral sensory connection, while her conceptual work in ‘Preserving’ (2023 - ongoing) interrogates our inextricable relationship with our environment - and it’s/our future. Previous series’ explore allegories of love and loss through still life compositions (The Yellow Jug and other Stories’, 2023-25), as well as abstract impressionism in the landscape (Shimmer, 2022).
Genevieve’s practice combines digital and analogue techniques, as well as mixed media.
