Original photograph - 'Then the Sun' (detail) Abstract impressionism - Vibrant Australian bush reflected. © Genevieve Ginty
  • Then The Sun (detail)

'Then the Sun (detail)' is from a series of photographs, 'Shimmer' taken in Smith's Creek, a tributary of Cowan Creek and the Hawkesbury River, NSW - Dyarubbin. 'Then the Sun (detail)' is a photograph of vivid abstract impressionist colour reflections of the bush in an emerald creek. The composition and technique of photographing the image blends the reflected colours in a painterly, impressionist style.
