Original photograph - 'Do you think she knows how beautiful she is?' Vibrant Australian bush reflected. © Genevieve Ginty
  • Do you think she knows how beautiful she is?

'Do you think she knows how beautiful she is?' is from a series of photographs, 'Shimmer' taken in Smith's Creek, a tributary of Cowan Creek and the Hawkesbury River, NSW - Dyarubbin.  The composition shows the bush above, leaning toward the creek while the water lovingly reflects the beauty back to the bush. Are they admiring each other? Is the bush enjoying its own reflection? Is the river courting the bush with its play of colour and light? Perhaps all these things are true.
